Music Video CCR

Below is the complete CCR as a PowerPoint

Saturday Nights FINAL RESULT!

Hey, welcome back! I can happily announce that my group and I have been able to produce the final version of our music video! I felt as though this project gave us the chance to improve on the areas we struggled in before and find unique ways to go about resolving issues, whether that be as complex as trying a new software program or as simple as positioning our camera at a different angle to make sure that we could hide the extra shadows peeking into our scenes. On the topic of software programs, we were able to use Davinci Resolve 17 and familiarize ourselves with an entirely new platform that possesses a wide range of useful tools that we'll be sure to employ in future endeavors to aid in our insertion of various clips and dynamic transitions. Working on this music video allowed my fellow groupmates and I to hone in on our abilities and specialize in what we're best at so that we could ensure that our final product was representative of our matured filming capabilitie

Finishing touches and DONE!

Today I finally edited the last bits of filming. This is exciting to my group and I because we finally have the finished product of everything we worked for and I'm so happy for the way it came out.     I started by adding the new clips of the music video with the rest on ClipChamp to have one full video to edits. I began by helping my groupmates edit the clips in sync with each other so there aren't any strange cuts or jumps in between each clip. After I aligned everything with each other. I replayed the video multiple times to make sure there weren't any minor errors.      A few other effects were also added to the video for finishing touches. This included the iPhone sound effect when a message is received and the sound effect when the message is sent. Both in sync with what you see in the video. Next the doorbell sound when someone enters a restaurant was also added to the clip of when the actor steps into the restaurant.      With all the sound effects in pl

Second Day Filming!

The second day of filming was yesterday. Since the next scene's location is at a diner or a restaurant, I was headed to the Moonlite Diner. A small business restaurant that sells burgers, fries, and foods of that relation.      Beforehand, I emailed the owner of the restaurant asking for permission to film at their location. They sent an email of approval and once I got to the diner, I showed them the email so we have absolute permission to film there.      I waited with my group for things at the diner to slow down so we don't disturb any of the customers present. I didn't want to make the place look bad while people were eating or ruin their experience at the restaurant, the owner was kind enough to let us film and I didn't want to ruin their reputation.     After the diner died down, I walked outside with my group to film the scene where the actor steps into the diner. The goal is that as the actor steps outside the car, the camera and location changes before h

Time to Edit!

Today I began editing our first clips that we filmed the other day. With the clips loaded and placed next to each other, I was able to see what needed to be changed or edited in the clips.      The first mistake I noticed was that in the first clip, when the main actor grabs the phone, there was a delay with the song. Meaning, the clip and the song weren't in sync as I had planned. What I suggested doing to fix this problem was to cut the beginning of the song to see if then if it will be in sync. That did not fix the problem and so then I tried to move the beginning of the clip further into the song which also did not work. Instead I found that, when the next clips begins the beat drops and I felt like that was enough considering there were other clips to go through.     The next thing I was focusing on was the scene where tilt transition. The clip where Brandon, the main actor, lays down on the bad and the camera moves with him and it transitions into him walking out the d

Ready? And ACTION!

Yesterday we began filming our music video. I arrived a bit later than everyone else but it was alright because we did a lot of progress for our first day.  I was the one that brought a LED lamp for lighting, I set it up next to the bed where we were going to be filming and everyone agreed on the color purple.      Since I will be playing the dead girlfriend, I began by changing my clothes into a light blue shirt to give off happy, lively vibes. Over that, I put on Brandon's, the main actor of the music video and the boyfriend, jacket to show that they had some sort of relationship.      Brandon and I took selfies together and pictures together to put as his  lock screen on his phone. We took photos in three different locations for more options and variety. First, I took some selfies outside in front of a tree, then we went inside and took some in front of a picture wall, and lastly I took some more in front of vines with LED lights.     After I took the photos I waited until
